Perfect as a pre or post-tour extension, a sailing journey can seamlessly combine with exploring the Balkans by land for the ultimate travel experience.
Start your cruise in Split and discover the breathtaking beauties of Brač, Hvar, Pakleni Islands, Korčula, Mljet, Elaphiti Islands and Dubrovnik.
Embark on an adventure of a lifetime and explore Croatia’s majestic coastline from the comfort of a charter boat! Revel in the stunning scenery, find hidden coves and bays, and discover some of the most beautiful nautical destinations in the world. It’s an experience you will treasure forever!
At 4 pm, join your skipper for a welcome meeting and safety briefing, ensuring you have all the information needed for a safe and enjoyable journey. Afterwards, we will set sail towards the Island of Brač, giving you the perfect opportunity to settle in and start enjoying the stunning Adriatic Sea.
Nestled in the heart of Central Dalmatia, the Island of Brač is a captivating destination that invites boaters to explore its stunning coastlines and rich cultural heritage. As the largest island in the region, Brač is home to Vidova Gora, the highest peak among Croatian islands, offering breathtaking views that stretch as far as Italy on clear days.
Famous for its exquisite white stone, Brač has provided materials for iconic structures like Diocletian’s Palace and even the UN building. This rich history is complemented by the island’s reputation as Croatia’s ”Olive Island”, where over a million olive trees flourish. Visitors can stroll along the Olive Trail and discover the Cukrov Family Olive Oil Museum in Škrip, celebrating the island’s agricultural heritage.
The stunning Zlatni Rat beach, known for its unique shape, beckons sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Meanwhile, Supetar, the island’s vibrant hub, offers delightful restaurants and essential supplies for adventurers. With its blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and warm local culture, Brač is truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
Hvar, the sunniest island in Croatia, is a captivating blend of stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich history, making it a must-visit destination. Often compared to St. Tropez, Hvar exudes an irresistible charm that caters to all tastes.
Begin your exploration at the iconic Hvar Fort, perched high above the town. Here, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the red-roofed town and the sparkling Adriatic Sea. Next, wander through Stari Grad, the island’s oldest town, where ancient Greek influences are still palpable. This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts charming cobblestone streets and a unique ambience that transports you back in time. As you explore, be sure to pick up some local lavender products, a delightful souvenir from the island.
For those seeking tranquillity, Dubovica Beach offers a picturesque setting for a peaceful picnic. The nearby Pakleni Islands beckon with their crystal-clear waters and secluded bays, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
As the sun sets, indulge in fresh seafood and local dishes at seaside restaurants, where the views are as delicious as the food. Then head to Carpe Diem, Hvar’s premier nightlife spot, where the atmosphere transforms from a laid-back lounge to an electrifying open-air club.
Stay on Hvar and explore the renowned vineyards in the Hvar region, such as those in Sveta Nedelja or Ivan Dolac. These vineyards offer a taste of some of the finest local wines and an opportunity to learn about the region’s rich winemaking traditions. If you prefer a peaceful retreat, you can also head towards the tranquil island of Šćedro.
Later in the day, set sail towards Lovište on the Pelješac Peninsula. With 5-6 hours of sailing ahead, you’ll have ample time to take in the serene beauty of the sea and surrounding sights.
Set sail from Lovište to the historic city of Korčula, the fifth island in our itinerary. Known as one of the most serene islands of our adventure, Korčula was named by the Greeks for its dense pine forest – Korkyra Melaina, meaning ”Black Corfu”. Korčula Town, often known as ”Little Dubrovnik”, boasts impressive city walls, medieval squares, churches, and palaces. According to locals, it still holds secrets about the life of the renowned explorer Marco Polo. Spend your free time exploring the charming old town, its ancient buildings, and vibrant local life. When in Korčula, we recommend stopping by a local wine bar to taste premium varieties such as Grk, Plavac Mali, and Pošip. Or, if you’re a true wine lover, visit some of the family wineries for an even more authentic experience! Continue the journey to the serene Island of Mljet.
Explore the unspoiled oasis of Mljet National Park, renowned for its saltwater lakes and lush landscapes that, according to legend, captivated Odysseus for seven years. The park covers most of the island, including Great Lake and Small Lake, Saint Mary’s Benedictine monastery, and Polače, the best natural anchorage in the Adriatic. Besides a Dalmatian lunch and swimming, the island offers amazing snorkelling opportunities. The seabed is a must-see for divers, especially in the lakes, where snorkelers can spot noble pen shells and other sea creatures. For an active day, enjoy canoeing, cycling, or hiking, while the island’s serene atmosphere makes it perfect for a romantic getaway.
From Mljet, continue towards the untouched beauty of the Elaphiti Islands – an archipelago known for azure waters and lush landscapes. Discover hidden coves of Koločep, and the sandy beaches of Lopud, or enjoy Šipan, nicknamed the Golden Island. These islands are steeped in history, with ancient ruins and old stone churches dotting the serene landscapes. Whether you’re exploring olive groves or strolling along quiet trails, the Elaphiti Islands offer a perfect blend of nature and culture. Embrace the calming sea breeze that guides your journey through these tranquil havens, leading up to your evening arrival in Dubrovnik. This UNESCO town awaits with its impressive city walls, bustling streets, and panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea.
As your island-hopping adventure comes to a close on Friday, enjoy a leisurely morning check-out from Dubrovnik. This stunning city is a perfect place to extend your stay, allowing you to soak in its rich history and vibrant atmosphere for a couple more days. Expected Expenses While Sailing
Marina Fees: Charges for docking your catamaran at marinas or mooring buoys. Fees vary depending on the marina’s location, the season, and the size of your boat, typically ranging from 100€ to 300€ per night. If you moor in a bay or at a buoy instead of staying in a marina, you may still need to pay a mooring fee, which is usually lower than marina fees but still a consideration. Fuel: The cost of fuel depends on the engine hours, distances travelled, and weather conditions. Catamarans are generally more fuel-efficient, but the cost can add up depending on usage, especially if you’re motoring rather than sailing. Provisions: Food and beverages for the crew and guests. If you have a hostess or chef, you will also need to cover their meals. Water and Electricity: Some marinas charge for water and electricity hookups, though this is often included in marina fees. If you’re anchored off, you’ll rely on the boat’s fresh water tanks and solar panels or generator. Tourism Tax: In Croatia, there is a daily tourism tax for all visitors, typically around 1.35€ per person per day. Waste Disposal: Certain marinas or ports may charge a small fee for waste disposal services. National Park Fees: If you visit National Parks such as Mljet or Kornati, there are entry fees for boats and passengers. The cost depends on the size of the boat and the specific park. These costs can vary significantly depending on your itinerary, the size of the catamaran, the time of year, and how much you anchor versus dock at marinas.
